From a working idea to both app stores, built to scale with your users
You've spent 12 years in resale and you know exactly where the time goes: identifying items, pricing them and writing listings. SnapList turns that into one photo. Our job is to take what you've shaped in GoDaddy Airo and turn it into a fast, reliable native app your users trust with their inventory, then keep growing it with you after launch.
What SnapList does at launch
- Snap and identify. A user takes a photo and the app recognises the item, brand and condition cues in seconds.
- Instant appraisal. A value range based on what similar items have actually sold for, not just what they're listed at.
- Listing draft, written for them. Title, description, category and suggested price, ready to edit.
- Send to marketplaces. Post directly to eBay and Etsy from the app, plus one-tap copy and share for Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist and others.
- Inventory history. Everything a user has scanned, priced and listed, in one place.
- Accounts and subscriptions. Sign up, free tier and paid plans through the App Store and Google Play.
- Admin panel. See users, scans and subscriptions, and adjust pricing plans without a developer.
What we checked before quoting
We looked at how this works on each platform today so there are no surprises halfway through the build.
eBay sold-price data
eBay has retired its old completed-items API and restricts its official sold-data API to approved partners. We'll build the appraisal engine on a reliable sold-comps data provider, with a fallback, and apply for eBay's partner access in parallel. This is a small monthly running cost, listed below.
Posting to every marketplace
eBay and Etsy allow apps to post listings directly. Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and Craigslist don't offer that, so the app prepares the listing and shares it in one tap. We can add a cross-listing partner later if you want direct posting there too.
Photo identification + listing drafts
Current image AI handles identification and listing copy well. We'll tune it on real resale items from your categories so results feel expert, not generic.
Your Airo build
Airo is great for shaping the idea. We'll use it as the blueprint for flows, look and wording, and build the production app natively so it's fast, secure and approved in both stores.
Phases and pricing
Discovery
We review your Airo build, test sold-data providers on real items from your categories, and agree the final screen flow.
- Written technical plan and data-provider recommendation
- Clickable app flow for your sign-off
MVP build and launch
Everything in "What SnapList does at launch", tested on real devices and submitted to both stores.
- Milestone A (wk 4): design + accounts + snap and identify
- Milestone B (wk 7): appraisal engine + listing drafts + eBay posting
- Milestone C (wk 10): Etsy + share flow + subscriptions + admin + store launch
Room Scan
Scan a whole room in one go: detect every item, value each one, produce an itemized report with a total, and bulk-create listings.
Growth features
More direct marketplace connections, analytics, referral program, price-drop alerts. Quoted per feature, driven by what users ask for.
After launch: a growth partnership
You mentioned you want a partner who grows with SnapList, not a team that ships and disappears. Here's how we'd structure it so it's clear and fair on both sides.
| Piece | What it covers | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| Free support | Bug fixes and store issues after launch | 30 days |
| Maintenance + growth retainer | OS updates, fixes, small features, store listing optimisation, monthly report | $2,000 / month |
| Milestone bonus | When SnapList reaches 10,000 monthly active users | $5,000 |
| Milestone bonus | When SnapList reaches 100,000 monthly active users | $15,000 |
| Equity conversation | At 1,000,000 monthly active users, a written equity agreement on terms we both sign off | At 1M MAU |
Bonus tiers and numbers are a starting point. We're happy to shape them around your launch and marketing plan.
Running costs (paid directly by you)
| Sold-comps data provider | ~$50 to $500 / month, grows with scans |
| AI image recognition | a few cents per scan |
| Hosting and database | ~$25 to $100 / month at launch |
| Apple Developer account | $99 / year |
| Google Play account | $25 one time |
All accounts are in your name, so you own the app, the code and the data from day one.
